On May 10, 2025, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) celebrated its 65th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of the NUIST Reading Academy. The High-Quality Development Forum on China-UK Cooperative Education in the Intelligent Era and the NUIST Reading Academy 10th Anniversary Development Conference were held at China Meteorological Valley. The guests attending the event included Catherine Sinclair-Jones, Director of the British Council in East China and Consul (Culture and Education) at the British Consulate-General Shanghai; Fang Jun, Chair of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Committee of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and former Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education; Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading; Cui Chunxia, Level II Bureau Rank Official of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education; Xie Lingyun, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Meteorological Bureau; and Wang Wei, Deputy Director of the Nanjing Jiangbei New Area Administrative Committee, all of whom delivered speeches. CEAIE President Liu Limin made remarks via video. NUIST Party Secretary Shang Hongbo, President Chen Haishan, and Vice President Jin Zikang attended the event. The event was hosted by NUIST Vice President Ma Yan. The attendees explored new pathways for China-UK educational cooperation to promote the high-quality development of internationalized higher education.
